This Just In!

Gordon Korman now has a blog. Check in regularly for the latest news about
Gordon's writing, travel, and whatever else may interest him!

The original 39 Clues series was a big hit for Scholastic, with Gordon writing two of the 10 books in the series. A few months ago, Scholastic published Vespers Rising, a collection of short stories or novellas written by several of the 39 Clues authors. That collection served to bridge the gap between the original 39 Clues and Cahills Vs Vespers, the new 39 Clues series. Book one, the Medusa Plot, was just released in August, and was written by our own Gordon Korman.

Gordon's next adventure trilogy, Titanic, is in mid-release. Book one has been released, book two is due out August 1st according to amazon, and book three should be following in September. Titanic will focus on a marvelous new flavor of ice cream being released by Baskin Robbins in the near future ... did I fool you for even a second?

The story will focus on the sinking of the unsinkable, and the struggles and adventures of the kids aboard the grand ship. Gordon's trilogies have always been a lot of fun, and great reading, and this one promises to be the same.

This Can't Be Happening at MacDonald Hall

The one that started it all, Gordon's first novel, and the beginning of the immensely popular Bruno and Boots series ... we've been waiting for Scholastic to bring this series back in America.

Now that it's been released, if you are a long-time reader of Gordon Korman, consider giving a few copies as gifts. If this title sells well, Scholastic will likely bring the rest of the series back, and while it is by no means a certainty, that could mean another new book or two in this series in the future.

April 2011
Vespers Rising

A kind of a transition book, Vespers Rising is a collection of short stories and novellas by several of the 39 Clues authors, bridging the gap between the original 39 Clues series and the new series, Cahills vs. Vespers.

Showoff

The fourth book in the series about Griffin Bing, the Man with the Plan, Showoff has been written, and will be released in January 2012.

Luthor, viscious guard dog turned pampered pet, has shown his true colors ... or has he? After Luthor disrupts a dog show, his family is forced to get rid of him. Savannah is heart-broken, and Griffin Bing decides to step in and save the day. If Luthor could be trained well enough to win a dog show, surely it would show he was safe. The only problem is, who could possibly handle the dog without being killed?

Fall 2012
Ungifted

Gordon's second title from Harper-Collins (following last year's excellent Pop) will be Ungifted, the story of a regular kid who accidentally ends up in a super high-powered gifted academy. This one sounds like it could be a lot of fun.
